- Assess cut density, rhythm, and whether attention holds all the way through
- Identify what breaks the flow: dead air, weak transitions, a payoff that doesn't land
- Write clear explanations pointing to specific moments
- Professional editing experience in short-form work: agency or brand content, ads, TikTok, Reels, or YouTube Shorts
- Strong DaVinci Resolve skills — this is the main software
- Fluent English, spoken and written
- Able to explain your editorial reasoning in writing, not just do the cut
- A reel or portfolio of short-form work
Nice to have
- Helpful but not required
- Motion graphics or captioning experience
- Experience editing to a client brief with revision rounds
